Lake Gardens Kuala Lumpur Malaysia

Lake Gardens is located in the center of the city. It covers 91.6 hectares spanning parks and gardens. The place is built around an artificial lake and joggers and families flock there for stroll and picnic. There is a jogging track for runners and bicycle tracks. I also have seen several people who have their pre-nup photos done in the different parts of the garden.

Families with kids in tow might favor the playground more where the kids can squeal in excitement as parents give them a gentle shove on the swing or bounce them up and down the see-saws – definitely quality family time indeed.

A nice attraction at Lake Gardens is a fun boat ride around the lake. Besides rowing a small boat you can also rent a water bicycle. Next to the mini-jetty is a small shop that sells snacks and drinks.

How to get to Lake Gardens

Take a KTM Komuter train to the Old Kuala Lumpur station. From there cross the street and walk past the National Mosque. You can also walk from KL Sentral, but this is a tricky path along the highway; the distance however is shorter. Alternatively, buses B115, B112, and B101 all stop within a 5-minute walk of Perdama Lake Gardens. Every taxi driver knows how to find the park. To get a taxi back to KL you are best off by walking to the Bird Park, as there are always taxis waiting for customers there.

Batu Caves

 

     Batu Caves is a limestone hill comprising three major caves and a number of smaller ones. Batu Caves is a popular tourist spot in Selangor, Malaysia. It is the site of a Hindu temple that attracts many tourists and worshippers especially every January during Thaipusam Festival.

     It's main attraction is the large statue of the Hindu God Murugan at the entrance besides a steep 272 stairs.

Malaysian Invasion

     I have always wanted to travel and explore what God has bestowed us. I want to see a lot of beautiful things, discover different cultures and simply enjoy life. While doing so, I want to share my experience to everyone, thus, the creation of this blog. I want to show you pictures and videos of the things I have enjoyed. I will start it with my adventures in Malaysia.

     I am fortunate that I was hired by an IT company and given a position as a Service Desk Analyst. I am really thankful of this opportunity because I am able to prove to myself that I can excel in any path that I choose. I am not an IT graduate yet I survive the challenges.

     

     Malaysia is a federal constitutional monarchy located in Southeast Asia. It consists of thirteen states and three federal territories and has a total landmass of 329,847 square kilometres (127,350 sq mi) separated by the South China Sea into two similarly sized regions, Peninsular Malaysia and East Malaysia (Malaysian Borneo).

     The country is multi-ethnic and multi-cultural, which plays a large role in politics. The constitution declares Islam the state religion while allowing freedom of religion for non-Muslims. The government system is closely modelled on the Westminster parliamentary system and the legal system is based on common law. The head of state is the king, known as the Yang di-Pertuan Agong. He is an elected monarch chosen from the hereditary rulers of the nine Malay states every five years. The head of government is the prime minister.
